Jai-Jagdeesh Finds A Place of Peace in Her New Single "Here Comes The Rain"

 

Jai-Jagdeesh released the second single, ‘Here Comes the Rain’ today from her upcoming album through Spirit Voyage Records. This song is the sound of the calm within the storm, the sound of pain and mourning.  Jai-Jagdeesh journeys from grief and rage to serenity in “Here Comes the Rain.” Inspired by a devastating event in her life, her words are like a stream of tranquility amidst the natural forces spoken through guitar and violin as Jai-Jagdeesh’s mournful, soul-stirring voice creates a compass when all feels lost.

“This is a song about the messy and unpredictable stages of mourning, and it exists to create a sense of peace within those stages,” says Jai-Jagdeesh. “Written in response to a devastating life event, the lyrics flow from sadness to pain to anger to acceptance.“

Jai-Jagdeesh’s latest musical autobiography, “From Dust,” is a poetry of broken loss that teaches how to become whole again. Jai-Jagdeesh spent the past few years confronting uncomfortable truths and questioning long-cemented beliefs – oftentimes in the wake of devastating revelations. Asking "why" and "how" came first, followed closely by introspection, and as layers of trauma revealed themselves and her foundation crumbled, a painful process began. This dark chapter, with its quest for understanding, learning, repair, and renewal, is revealed over the course of 14 tracks. Listeners are invited to bear witness to the grief and growth that comes from facing betrayal and disillusionment as Jai-Jagdeesh reclaims her whole Self – encouraging listeners to do the same.
