Thuggizzle drops raw hustler's anthem “Get Cha Hustle Up”

Reminiscent of late 90s/early 2000s Cash Money, and other Southern staples of the time, is Thuggizzle’s “Get Cha Hustle Up”. Your speakers will be rocked with a clean, nostalgic bounce at the drop of this record, complete with horn hits and organic trap drums. To emphasize his devotion to the sound, the Texan spitter even attacks the beat with a sick, Dirty South flow. It is pure and raw, the way Thuggizzle dips in and out of the pockets of this instrumental, casting bar after bar with impressive delivery. Certainly, “Get Cha Hustle Up” channels the energy of classic Lil Wayne, with Thuggizzle pairing an unstoppable flow with menacing metaphors. The result of that equation is a trunk-rattling, Cadillac-slamming banger. You have not heard the quintessential, Dirty South sound revived better than you will on “Get Cha Hustle Up”. Undeniably, with this record, Thuggizzle makes his Hip-Hop forefathers proud; and proves dangerously problematic for the new school of rap.

BEST ADDIT releases hard hitting hustler's anthem “MILLI ON MY MIND”

Through a filtered yet gutter, Detroit-worn voice, rapper, Best Addit, mutters “I got a milli’ on my mind, nobody’s stopping mine.”. This comes a few seconds past the beginning loop of a synth-sample, and just bars early of the lyrical annihilation Addit unbolts. A street-shaking 808 barrels into the track, chaperoned by snares, hihats, and the Midwest madman’s own nonchalant delivery. Yes, Best Addit is cool, calm, and collected when telling the stories of his endeavors and upbringing; as if their realities have already been accepted in his veteran mind. From grinding in the streets, attracting women, and watching his back; the Motor City rapper lays out the ambitions of a hustler in “Milli On My Mind”. The music video compliments his narrative; showcasing Best Addit in a variety of settings, cloaked in a shadowy greyscale of black and white. Nothing short of an anthem, Best Addit’s trap single “Milli On My Mind” is certain to make a splash on every block surrounding the Great Lakes.

#RnB singer Sassy Vee gets "Emotional" on soulful new single [Music + Interview]

A vibrant, herculean kick, guided by the gush of an 808, is the first thing you’ll hear on this titanic release, “Emotional”. It is an outstanding musical commencement, for it beautifully segues into the iridescent vocals of Sassy Vee; and the “Break Free” EP cut, in an instant, transforms into the sonic ride of a lifetime. “Emotional” is Pop at its foundation; sporting a bubbly, electronic synth that sparkles about the peripherals of piano chords and trap snares. However, the San Diego-born, New Haven-based singer, unleashes pure R&B onto the microphone. She croons, melodizes and harmonizes with the dint of her sprightly soul; squeezing a sensual, amorous jam out of the record. Her voice, truly, hearkens to R&B/Neo-Soul eras of the past, and Sassy Vee masterfully matches it with a cutting-edge sound. In little under three-minutes and thirty seconds, alongside showing she’s a upcoming talent to keep our eyes on next year, she makes certain that her “Break Free” EP is what we’ll keep our ears on for the end of this one. And “Emotional”, in all of its romantic glory, is the ideal appetizer.

Alternative Hiphop/Pop artist Maggy’s Kid releases addictive new-age single “I Think I Hate U”

It’s 3AM and I’m still in your bed / It’s been too long and I’m still in your head,” is possibly the most gorgeous hook you’ll hear this late in the year. It comes courtesy of none other than California-born rapper, Maggy’s Kid; and is his bubbly new single, “I Think I Hate You”. “I Think I Hate You” is a melodic, near-three minute venture into conflicted love by the Los Angeles native; started with a celestial, synth progression. That progression leads into a smooth bounce of uptempo, trap drums; which dribble under Maggy’s’ incoming vocals. Immediately, the now Chicago-based artist dives into the hook, driven by a pop-punk influenced edge that manifests the perfect, heartfelt delivery. From verse to hook, “I Think I Hate You” embodies every facet of a banger; and proves Maggy’s Kid is beyond ready for the mainstream circuit. With his pen, genius in melody, and contagious command of sound, he certainly has more than what it takes.

RAY-EYE tells the history of hiphop with new cut “Full Swing (The Influence)”

Indiana emcee/producer, RAY-EYE, is taking it back with “Full Swing (The Influence)”. The record is a time portal, warping us back to the Golden Era of Hip-Hop the moment we press play. From some of the bars (which pay homage to the origins of rap), to the beat (furthered by a rhythmic, bare-bones drum loop), “Full Swing” screams 1990s. Screams it louder than its Gary spitter’s own voice on the mic. For, RAY-EYE rides the beat with a whisper for the duration of the track; bars almost blending into the minimal instrumental surrounding them. It is completely contrasted by the powerful bassline coasting below; and when the two fuse, a matchless groove will creep into your earphones, and swing your head into a nod. Fifteen years of his dedication to Hip-Hop have culminated into RAY-EYE’s laid-back, lyrical style; and crystalized his organic sound. He proves seasoned on “Full Swing (The Influence)” with a wisdom that not only reverberates through his lyricism; but within the strong, sophistication of his production, as well. Everything you love about pure Hip-Hop can be found in this track; and everything you love about astounding artistry can be found in RAY-EYE.

For a melodic, moving joint dedicated to the ladies, on-the-verge rapper, D-Brown, has recruited the luminous vocals of Mannish Mania. In little under four-minutes, these two talented forces have combined and created the radio-ready hit, “Put A Ring On It”; and it is as infectious as a single can be. An arrangement of stark, piano chords forms an ideal bed for a bouncing trap kick, rattling hi-hats, snare, and smooth 808. Although, this is definitely a song the women can enjoy, the Gary rapper is merciless with his delivery and lyrics. A guttural, street-hardened voice shoots explicit bar after explicit bar about his significant other. Mannish Mania perfectly follows up these sentiments with a sensual hook. “I’mma put a ring on it.” he croons, under the roll of 808s, before adorning the record with his own erotic verse. Without question, “Put A Ring On It” is in mint position to win the radio and conquer the clubs. Toting a hit like this?; these two are in for an astronomical new year.

RawJxw is a lyrical monster on new banger “Rawcula”

Somewhere in the depths of a Transylvanian cellar, a monster was dwelling. For centuries, this beast, dressed in modern-trap, Floridian decor, has lie dormant, awaiting the perfect opportunity to rise and wreak utter havoc upon the world. That time apparently has come; and the boom of a thunderous 808 has catapulted this monster right into our speakers. A lyrical monster, none otherwise as RawJxw; and along with him, he brings a vicious thirst for blood that has gone unquenched. “Rawcula”. It is the Miami rapper’s latest offering, and it is apocalyptic to say the least. An old, “Dracula” sample introduces the record, afore RawJxw rushes into a vampiric massacre of the ominous instrumental. For two minutes and forty seconds, the Vice City artist spins the mic with a blur of bars. Backing adlibs build the energy of the track; forming this riotous momentum. One that, when performed, is certain to launch the crowd into an aggressive mosh-pit. In so few words, “Rawcula” fully embodies the aura of its namesake; being raw, unhinged and utterly frightening to the faint of heart. From the underground, this rapping monster is emerging; and any beat in his crosshairs, from this point onward, is most certainly a goner.

Rocklin releases creative new sneaker anthem “Shoes You Got”

In a metaphor-heavy homage to every shoe on the shelf, Detroit emcee, Rocklin, accompanied by Tim October, drops the powerful, sneaker anthem “Shoes You Got”. Coined as “Kick Music”, this track is laced by the infectious, sing-song drawl of Isis Rocklyn; whose child-like delivery immaculately opposes the dark, booming Mav-produced beat. Every artist exhibited on this banger performs excellently. Partnered with Isis’s catchy chorus, and Mav’s gargantuan trap production, Rocklin delivers a savage first verse. When it comes to metaphors, apparently the Michigan madman is unstoppable. He delivers a string of them; proving prominent with the pen, and giving Tim October something to match. And his guest is equally aggressive. To say the least, both spitters tear into the beat, and leave nothing but a radio-ready smash in the aftermath. ”Shoes You Got” has come to us without a scuff on it. In the mood for a rap-heavy, trap hit? Try this on; I guarantee this kick fits.
